Because recently, within the last 5 years, the Philippines’ spending on defense budgets, weapons imports, and military equipment has been increasing. Currently, the list of Philippines’ largest defense exports is topped by the US, India, Israel, Turkey, Bulgaria, Czechia, South Africa, and the Netherlands. Anyway, the Philippines’ biggest purchases are aircraft, warships, aircraft carriers, and missiles. Fighter jets are being purchased from Israel, drones from Turkey, warships, electronic equipment, aerospace components, surplus Defense Ministry equipment, radar equipment, and ships from the Netherlands and Europe. and medium-range air-to-air missiles are being purchased from the United States. Recently, from 2022 to 2024, the Philippines has signed a defense deal worth $4.1 billion with its friendly countries.

Similarly, Israel, India, the US, and the European Union have much better relations with the Philippines and the South China Sea which will impact the most exports, imports, and global trade routes in the future in the war between China and Taiwan. Those countries selling arms to the Philippines believe that they do not want to do any such conspiracy against China but they will sell arms to the Philippines which will generate economic and export revenue for their country. Because recently China has also sold arms to Russia, Gaza, Iran, and many countries. Recently, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan have also purchased weapons from Western and other countries. But in the future US, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and other countries along the South China Sea can also sign a big treaty like NATO which can respond together to North Korea, Russia, and China in the future. Recently the presence of the US military has been continuously increasing in the South China Sea, East Asia, and the Pacific Ocean.
