Central Bank of Nigeria has clarified in a statement which issued last month that seemed to order financial institutions to shut down all accounts associated with Cryptocurrency in Nigeria or users of Nigerian naira.
According to a report on Sunday, where Bank’s officials have said the directive is not to be mistaken for an outright ban on CryptoCurrency user’s of Nigeria. Speaking on behalf of the Bank’s chief, Godwin Emefiele, within it, deputy Governor Adamu Lamtek said the bank had never banned cryptocurrency activity in the country. but economic structures weren’t moves on the CryptoCurrency like Accepting Payment in Crypto at Crude Oil or export and imports with Nigeria.
